New head of Scandic in Finland

Scandic has recruited Aki Käyhkö as Country Vice President and head of operations in Finland. Aki Käyhkö has a strong commercial background and is currently CEO for Palace Kämp Group, a Finnish hotel and restaurant group. Aki will bring experience in combination with strong leadership skills, to further strengthen Scandic’s Finnish organization. He will also be part of the Scandic Group Management Team and starts March 5, 2012.”Aki Käyhkö´s strong leadership skills and experience from efficient teambuilding makes him the ideal person to further strengthen Scandic´s already well established brand and market position in Finland. I now welcome Aki to lead the important challenges ahead with two major hotel openings, in Tampere and Helsinki, this year”, says Anders Ehrling, President and CEO of Scandic.

Aki Käyhkö has long experience from companies such as Procter & Gamble, Reckitt Benckiser and Hartwall (part of Heineken group) and is currently CEO for Palace Kämp Group, a Finnish hotel and restaurant group.
